A 17-year-old pupil from Limassol was fighting for his life Friday after being hit by a car.
According to reports, the young man was walking on the pedestrian crossing outside his school Thursday when the accident occurred but had begun crossing while the traffic light was still red.
The pupil was hit by a car driven by a 28 year-old man and was first rushed to Limassol General Hospital before being transferred to Nicosia due to the seriousness of his condition.
He suffered injuries to his head and lower body and by late yesterday remained in a critical condition.
