A man Marius Radu, aged 30, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He is due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court on Monday, August 29.
He is charged after the fatal road traffic collision in South Mimms on Friday, August 19.
The collision occurred shortly after 9.35pm on the A1081 St Albans Road, about half a mile from the junction with the A1(M)/M25 roundabout.
A silver Honda Civic was travelling south towards Dancers Hill when, for reasons unknown at this stage, it collided with a Nissan Juke which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Nissan suffered serious injuries and was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London. Sadly she has died following several days of treatment.
The two people travelling in the Honda, a man and a woman, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Barnet General Hospital for treatment. Both have since been discharged from hospital.
