Police are investigating after a Polish tourist was taken to hospital, claiming he was deliberately run over by a car after scuffle.
He was admitted to Paphos General Hospital with tyre friction wounds and other injuries.
He told police that he had been assaulted at around 3.30am by four people who had been harassing his girlfriend. After they hit him, he said he fell and was run over by a 4×4.
Doctors say that his injuries are not life threatening and police have sealed off the scene and are investigating.
