Two men have been injured in what is thought to have been a firecracker accident in Ayia Napa.
One of them aged 24, has lost the fingers of his right hand and part of his thumb. A 30-year-old has wounds to his abdomen, legs and hands.
The younger man was taken to Famagusta General Hospital and then to a private clinic in Larnaca to undergo surgery by an orthopaedic specialist and plastic surgeon.
