One of the early presenters on LGR, Michael Neophytou, who also composed many of the station’s jingles, has recently been signed up to a major publisher and has had a lot of his music played on TV and adverts across Europe and as far as New Zealand.
His latest composition features in the Hollywood movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, and now with a new contract to write and record Latino music for film and TV, the list of accomplishments seems endless for him.
Mike had been playing music since the age of fourteen, often working with different bands. It all began when he picked up a guitar and self-taught as it all seemed to come naturally, playing pop and rock music. He then wandered into the Greek music scene and spent a short while with Greek bands, before being asked to write Greek music for film – the rest as they say is history.
Having struck an exciting new deal with the Latino music film project, Michael has plenty to look forward to.
