Well known in the community Michalakis Michael has been in the fish and chip business for over 40 years but the Award winning Mickys Chippy was his pride and joy and over the years they won several awards Hackney Gazette Best Fish and Chip Shop and Hackney Gazette Best Takeaway.
He was successful with the help of his wife Mary and his son Stavros and the chippy was well known in Hackney and people travelled from far away to come and taste their gorgeous fish and Chips.
He saw his customers grow from babies to adults and that was a great pleasure for his family to be so close with their customers.
Michalakis Michael is well known in the London Cypriot community as the Chairman of New Salamis London FC and played for several years for New Salamis in Cyprus and also for the Cyprus national team.
We like to wish Michalakis and his wife Mary a happy retirement and his son success in his new venture.
