A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Islington.
Police were called shortly before 21:00hrs on Saturday, 20 August, to reports of gunshots heard in Sunnyside Road, N19.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 25-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound.
He was taken to an east London hospital where he was later pronounced dead at around 00:10hrs on Sunday, 21 August. His next of kin has been informed.
A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be scheduled in due course.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating led by Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams.
No arrests have been made and enquires continue.
