New Recipe for the Tennis Season from Chris Wheeler of Humphry’s Restaurant, Stoke Park, using yogurt from local producer Tims Dairy – plus a great prize to be won
To revitalize and refresh our tastebuds, and to remind us what a fantastically versatile, powerful and tasty ingredient yogurt can be, Tims Dairy has teamed up once again with top chef, Chris Wheeler, Head Chef of Humphry’s Fine Dining Restaurant at Stoke Park to create a delicious and innovative recipe idea for the tennis season, including the special Boodles tennis competition held at Stoke Park from 17th to 21st June where the world’s best tennis players finalise their preparations for Wimbledon.
Pimm’s Summer Pudding with Greek Style Yogurt is a sublime and refreshing dessert which is light yet luxury and perfect for the season. A combination of individual summer puddings with fresh fruits and yogurt accompanied by brandy snap baskets with yogurt sorbet and an exquisite fruit and Pimms coulis make this dish sensational yet surprisingly easy to prepare. Chris worked in Michelin starred kitchens under Jean-Christophe Novelli and soon became his right hand man and Group Head Chef. He has worked at Le Provence, Lymington, the Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, Maison Novelli and Les Saveurs, Mayfair. He has also appeared in the TV program Hell’s Kitchen 2 alongside Jean-Christophe in 2005 and more recently appeared on Saturday Kitchen in February 2014. Chris is a member of the Craft Guild of Chefs and is passionate about cooking.
