Popular Greek laiko artist Nikos Oikonomopoulos (and my personal favourite!) is back with a new single you’ll be singing along to all summer!
Skase Ena Fili launches the singer’s collaboration with new record label, Heaven Music, and brings some joy into our lives during this unprecedented time.
“I am overjoyed with my new single and I want to share it with you first. In this extraordinary period we are living through, a warm hug or a tender kiss is needed now more than ever,” he posted on social media.
He added, “The song will be aired exclusively on various radio stations throughout the country. I believe you will all fall in love with it as quickly as I did, and together we will make Skase Ena Fili this summer’s slogan.”
The song is composed by Christos Dantis with lyrics by Nikos Sarris. It received first airplay on selected radio stations throughout Greece and Cyprus on Monday (1 June) before its official release.
Meanwhile, a party took place on Sunday evening to celebrate Oikonomopoulos’ deal with club owner Costas Bertakis. As soon as circumstances allow, the singer will be one of the headlining acts at either Fantasia, Teatro or Vogue nightclubs. Other singers in the Bertakis group include Konstantinos Argyros, Natasa Theodoridou, Petros Iacovides, Stan and Eleni Foureira. Could we possibly see an Argyros – Oikonomopoulos or a Theodoridou – Oikonomopoulos collaboration? Only time will tell!
