That was one of the headlines at the North London Chamber of Commerce Celebrating Women in Business event. Over 50 delegates attended a high profile event organised by North London Chamber of Commerce to recognise the achievements of women in business and inspire others to take on the challenge.
The event was held at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club on Thursday 19th November, and attracted high profile speakers and delegates from a wide range of North London Business including, Curwens, Tip Top Media, Wenta, Santander, Barclays Bank, Hollywood Bowl, Sovereign Data and Norse Commercial Services. We were also delighted that the Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Jennifer Mann attended the event.
The event Chaired by Norma Morris a director of North London Chamber and partner at Curwens Solicitors, highlighted the challenges facing women in business and the opportunities. The event heard from our speakers, business leaders Janette Faherty OBE and Penny Powers OBE, Lisa Muller of (Lantevasin) an international management consultancy based in New York as well as local businesses Sam Pearce (Square Image Ltd) and Julia Daniel (North London Credit Union). Penny Power OBE founder of e-academy and the Digital Youth Academy our keynote speaker gave a unique insight into how to start and grow your own business, in a challenging sector. Our speakers then took part in an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
