The Nottingham Post has reported that Olympiacos owner Vangelis Marinakis is set to invest in Nottingham Forest.
An investment deal could be close as current Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi has been pictured in Greece recently.
Reports in Greece suggest a meeting took place between the two men, with Al Hasawi understood to have been invited to attend the Greek giants’ award ceremony at Karaiskaki Stadium to celebrate their league title.
Forest have refused to comment officially on the situation, but SDNA sources have confirmed in the last few days that talks are being held with more than one party interested over a potential investment deal at the City Ground – and that significant progress is being made with one party in particular.
The scale of any potential investment remains unclear, although it is understood that Al Hasawi does not want to end his involvement with the club.
