A total of £523.83 was raised for this worthy charity over the 6 days.
Each year Planet Weddings raises money for a charity by hosting Alisha Owen and her talented team on the Planet Weddings stand. Alisha has decades of experience and her own salons on the island of Cyprus. She has been working closely with Planet Weddings for decades and has raised thousands of pounds for charities during the UK’s National Wedding Shows.
“We were delighted to send this year’s money to Alzheimer’s Research UK; it is a cause that touches so many people’s lives. Both wedding shows emphasised a continued rise in the interest for destination weddings with the trend for 2020 and 2021 in three day weddings with an informal gathering for the first day perhaps learning to make something local for example in Cyprus it could be halloumi, followed by the wedding day itself and then an excursion on the third day such as a boat trip along Cyprus’ gorgeous coastline or a trip to the Troodos too. All our destination weddings lend themselves to such ‘wedding experiences’ and the exhibitions enabled us to meet many couples looking to say ‘I do’ in Cyprus.”
