UK Power Networks stated online that “an underground electricity cable faulted on our high voltage network, causing an area wide power cut”.
Power was expected to be restored between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, but is now back on.
There were 239 customers affected, which includes a large area of the Oakmere estate.
