ssues concerning the ongoing dialogue for an agreement over Greece`s bailout were discussed during the telephone conversations which the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades had on Tuesday with Greek Premier Alexis Tsipras and the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides, President Anastasiades expressed his support to the efforts of the Greek government and reiterated Nicosia’s position for the need to find a solution within the European framework.
“President Anastasiades had today a long telephone communication with the Greek Prime Minister Mr Alexis Tsipras and, following an understanding between them, President Anastasiades later on had a telephone communication with the President of the European Commission Mr Jean-Claude Juncker,” the statement said.
“During the conversations issues relating to the ongoing dialogue for an agreement on Greece were discussed,” it added.
