Cypriot President Demetris Christofias has said that movement of people at the crossing points in Cyprus should be unhindered and in line with the laws.
He added that the Greek Cypriot side should not create and support conditions for the occupation regime in Cyprus to reduce the flow on both sides of the crossing points.
In statements to the press following visits to military camps in view of the Easter holidays and replying to a question concerning the protest of the Turkish Cypriot Teachers` Guild for the controls of the occupying authorities at crossing points that hinder the movement, President Christofias said that “they are right to complain”.
He added that the Greek Cypriot side should also be careful with any acts and moves that provide excuses to the occupying regime in Cyprus for such an action.
