Police are hunting two masked men after a gun was fired at the door of a Wood Green barber’s – also where a schoolboy customer was stabbed while sitting in the chair two years ago.
The men, wearing balaclavas, struck shortly before 7.15pm last night at Kenny’s unisex hair salon in Lordship Lane, near the junction with Acacia Road, firing a single shot from what police believe was a handgun.
All three people in the shop at the time escaped injury, and the suspects fled in the direction of Bruce Grove.
Investigators from the Met Police Trident Gang Command’s shooting team have taken on the case. No arrests have been made so far.
In January 2012, a 15-year-old boy was attacked in the shop in broad daylight by several gang members who forced their way in and stabbed him three times in the back.
Five young men were jailed later that year for wounding with intent to cause greivous bodily harm.
