St Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox School students and staff celebrated St Andrew’s Day with Father Damian at St Katherine’s Church.
It was a delight to hear the pupils read so fluently in English and Greek as part of the service. Many of the pupils participate regularly in services at St Katherine’s, but to two of the altar boys, it was a new experience, although you would never have guessed this however, as Theo, a student in Year 10 who participates regularly, guided his younger companions seamlessly through the service.
Students will be attending St Katherine’s Christmas Church Services throughout the week commencing 11th December: Year 7 & 8 on Monday, Years 9 & 10 on Wednesday and Years 11, 12, 13 on Thursday.
On Tuesday 12th December, students will be singing Christmas Carols in Trafalgar Square. Christmas celebrations will also take place at school with a Christmas Concert, Christmas Fare and of course, a delicious Christmas Lunch.
