On Tuesday 7 October 2025, St Andrew the Apostle School, proudly hosted its first Open Evening in its newly completed building, showcasing state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant learning environment.
The evening was a resounding success, drawing an enthusiastic attendance from prospective students, parents, staff, governors and members of the wider community.
Guests were welcomed into the school’s wonderful new space designed to inspire learning. From modern classrooms and science labs to creative arts studios and breakout areas, every corner of the building reflects thoughtful planning and a vision for the future of education.
Our Headteacher, Mr Martin, along with students from Year 7 and Year 12 spoke to packed audiences in each of the three talks to parents and prospective students.
Headteacher Mr Martin said, “This evening marks a new chapter for our school. We are thrilled to open our doors and share the incredible opportunities our new facilities offer. The energy and excitement from our visitors tonight truly affirm the importance of this milestone.”
Visitors enjoyed guided tours led by student ambassadors, interactive activities, and performances that highlighted each of our subject areas and the talents and achievements of our pupils.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the welcoming atmosphere, the impressive design of the new spaces, and the clear passion of staff and students alike.
Mary Karaolis OBE and founding Governor commented, “I loved the welcoming atmosphere and enjoyed seeing the staff interacting with the visitors in the various curriculum areas. I was impressed by the friendly, confident students. I noticed that the visitors enjoyed the delights of the Olive Tree dining area and the refreshments provided by FOSA parents. I thought your speech and the information you displayed was perfect as were the impressive speeches of the Year 7 and Year 13 students.”
Mr Martin also added, “Whilst our building is wonderful, after working at St Andrew the Apostle School for over five years, it is our staff, students and community that makes our institution so special. Our staff have worked extremely hard to recreate our caring ethos in our new home; feedback from tonight and from our student every day indicate they have achieved this.”
We look forward to welcoming all our new students in September 2026.
