St Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox Primary Academy in Thornton Heath, was top of the class and the only school where every pupil achieved that standard, according to figures published by the Department for Education on Thursday.
Head teacher Vasoula Baron was “elated and delighted” with the results.
She said: “It is a fantastic endorsement on our commitment to outstanding teaching and it simply would not have been possible without the hard work of our staff. We pride ourselves on being a family school and everything we do underpins our religious ethos. This commitment has paid off.”
