A couple of months ago we introduced you to Narcissus A-Ngel ( Georgia Hadjiconstantinou) who is an up and coming rockstar and vocal powerhouse in the United States. Her band No/Hugs scored in the top 5 bands across the entire state of Massachusetts in their category at the Boston Music Awards and are celebrated for their diversity and inclusivity.
We are impressed. Narcissus is this perfect combination of overflowing talent, a rock vigilante that does not care about what you think of her and at the same time the sweetest and most down to earth loving and radiant human being that we have ever had the pleasure of talking to.
While on air on national Cypriot TV, she heartwarmingly send her appreciation toward all Greek-Cypriots for the great amounts of support and love they send her way during the voting process of the Boston Music Awards.Narcissus’ Facebook live stream had us tearing up from pride as she highlighted the importance of supporting our fellow Cypriot expats who are doing well abroad and praise their careers and efforts as if they are our own. She spoke very intimately about how important it was for her to hear from hundreds of Cypriots who went out of their way to send a congratulations.
Furthermore, we also secured some exclusive news for you, Narcissus is going to be promoting her signature microphone with AUDIX MICROPHONES at NAMM 2019 ( National Association of Merchant Musicians) the VX5. She will also be performing at the legendary Whisky A-Go-Go that has hosted concerts of iconic performers like Eminem, Aerosmith, System of A Down, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix etc.
What’s most impressive about No/Hugs is that their work is not the work of a simple band. They are not just mere musicians. The core of their band is this strong message of acceptance and positivity that radiates through to and from their fanbase . And we are talking about one of the most active and loving fanbases that we have seen on social media from an upcoming band in years. No/Hugs is what we need in 2019. A band with a thundering voice, a distinct message and a larger-than-life musical passion.
We are big fans of No/Hugs new pop/punk hit Your Satisfaction Is Fake and everything that it stands for. The song was released at the VANS WARPED TOUR on July 27th 2018 and it very boldly talks about the phenomenon of depression and high suicide rates in teenagers.
