CORK FILMS presents this fresh new series that offers crime and mystery but welcomes the entire family, allowing entertainment for all.
This new “cosy crime” drama transports the viewer from a rustic, rural, high country New Zealand farm to the crystal blue waters and glamorous locations of Greece and Cyprus. The plots are delivered with a lively take of characters and infused with great humour.
Shirley from a farm in New Zealand, is on a search for her Greek father, she discovers instead her half-sister Helen, an uptight, feisty Greek detective.
George, the Greek police pathologist (played by Peter Andre in his first TV drama series) provides a believable, slightly awkward love interest. The other two series regular characters are Helen’s fiery Greek mother Alexa (Marina Sirtis) and teenage daughter Thalia (played by newcomer Chloe Standage)
The chemistry and humour between Shirley (played by Emily Corcoran, who is also the series creator and showrunner,) with Helen (played by Greek soap and theatrical star Dora Chrysikou) is both charming and compelling to watch.
Each storyline offers both a murderer and a victim from an array of stars including Stephanie Beacham, Nina Wadia, Nick Moran, Camilla Rutherford and Alexander Vlahos. Legendary cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee also makes an appearance.
The UK release on Channel 5 is a special event week with broadcast of the whole series on the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of September at 2:15pm and then available on 5 Streaming directly after.
The series is also available in the USA on UPtv from 4th September at 8pm, then every Thursday.
