Detectives investigating a theft from a car in Islington have issued CCTV footage in the hope of identifying the suspect.
In the early hours of Sunday, 19 July, police were called to reports of a Samsung tablet stolen out of a Toyota Yaris parked on Holloway Road, N7.
A man was captured on CCTV approaching the parked car, looking inside and seeing the tablet on display.
He then tried the doors of the vehicle to see if it was locked before throwing an object twice at the driver’s side rear window to break it.
Once smashed, he was able to lean into the car, unlock the driver’s door and get in, stealing the tablet.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. They can call police on 101 quoting image 186765 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
