Thousands enjoy 65th Limassol Wine Festival

Thousands of visitors attended the 65th Limassol Wine Festival at the city’s Public Gardens during its nine-day run from 26 September to 4 October 2026.

According to Limassol Municipality, a speech by Mayor Yiannis Armeftis was delivered at the official closing ceremony by Michalis Michael, Chairman of the municipality’s Cultural Committee.

The Mayor’s message emphasised that tradition continues to evolve, bringing new experiences while being proudly passed on to younger generations.

Visitors sampled Cypriot wines and traditional food while enjoying a varied programme of concerts, theatre performances, folklore events and creative activities for children.

Parallel celebrations also took place in Arsos and Agios Mamas, highlighting the Limassol district’s wine and Commandaria-producing villages.

Visual arts formed part of this year’s programme, including a wine-themed cartoon exhibition at the Public Gardens, organised with the Association of Cypriot Cartoonists, GEL.A., and the Pin Cartoon and Sketch Workshop.

A photography exhibition at the Town Hall, organised in collaboration with the Cyprus Photographic Society, also accompanied the festival.
