Two die in Rhodes storm, one believed to be Cypriot

Two women have died and two men are missing after a fierce storm in Rhodes.
On Saturday morning, firemen retrieved the body of a 27 year old woman from the sea in the area of Kremasti. A few hours earlier a 55 year old woman believed to be of Cypriot origin was found dead in the Ialisos area. Her husband and another man have been reported missing. The couple’s car was found in a river bed.
The second missing man was in the car with the 27 year old teacher whose vehicle was carried away by torrential water. A helicopter, divers and a lifeguard’s craft were assisting the search.
The Cyprus Foreign Ministry said that it was on alert and was investigating the reports the woman was Cypriot, but said it was unable to confirm anything for the time being.
