Police were called shortly before 21:00hrs on Tuesday, 17 November, to an aggravated burglary at a house in East Barnet.
A man who is of Cypriot origin, aged in his 30s, sustained a stab injury. He was taken to hospital where his condition was serious but is now stable.
Four suspects made off in a vehicle – enquiries continue to establish what, if anything, was taken.
Officers from Barnet CID are investigating.
