This UK Disability History Month, we’re inviting all residents to come and take part in the launch of our ‘This is me’ visibility campaign, focusing on hidden and visible disabilities with the aim of normalising conversations around disability, in pursuit of a fairer, more equal and inclusive society.
During this event you will hear and engage with Islington residents that have taken part in the campaign, finding out about the challenges they face on a daily basis. Enjoy live singing, poems and an interactive workshop on the Social Model of Disability delivered by Disability Action Islington exploring the barriers, attitudes and social exclusion that disabled people face.
