† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Maria Georgiou

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister Maria Georgiou who passed away,
on Thursday 25th December 2025, at the age of 87.
Maria was born in the village of Lapathos in Cyprus. She was incredibly kind and caring and was loved by all those who knew her.
She will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind her 3 children: Helen, Despo and George, her son-in-law Soteris, her 5 grandchildren: Anthea and husband George, Maria, Constantina, Christiana, George and her great-grandson Zacharias. Her siblings, Panayiota, Kokos and Vasoulla and many dear friends and relatives.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday 20th January 2026, at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Logan Road, London N9 OLP, at 12pm,
the burial at Edmonton Cemetery, Church Street, London N9 9HP, at 2pm, followed by the wake at St Demetrios Church Hall.
Flowers are welcome and can be sent to Demetriou & English Funeral Directors, 131-133 Myddleton Road, N22 8NG by Monday 19th January 2026.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας μητέρας, γιαγιάς και αδελφής Μαρίας Γεωργίου, η οποία απεβίωσε
την Πέμπτη 25 Δεκεμβρίου 2025, σε ηλικία 87 ετών.
Η Μαρία ήταν απίστευτα ευγενική και φροντιστική και αγαπήθηκε από όλους όσους τη γνώριζαν. Θα μας λείψει πολύ.
Kαταλείπει τα 3 παιδιά της: Ελένη, Δέσπω και Γιώργο, τον γαμπρό της Σωτήρη, τα 5 εγγόνια της: Άνθια και τον σύζυγό της Γιώργο, Μαρία, Κωνσταντίνα, Χριστιάνα, Γιώργο και τον δισέγγονό της Ζαχαρία.
Τα αδέλφια της, Παναγιώτα, Κόκο και Βασούλα και πολλούς αγαπημένους φίλους και συγγενείς.
Η κηδεία θα γίνει την Τρίτη 20 Ιανουαρίου 2026, από τον ιερό ναό του Αγίου Δημητρίου, Logan Road, N9 OLP, στις 12μμ, η ταφή στο Κοιμητήριο του Έντμοντον, Church Street, N9 9HP, στις 2μμ, και στη συνέχεια η παρηγοριά θα δοθεί στην αίθουσα της εκκλησίας του Αγίου Δημητρίου.
Τα λουλούδια είναι ευπρόσδεκτα και μπορούν να σταλούν στο γραφείο κηδειών Demetriou & English, 131-133 Myddleton Road, N22 8NG,
έως τη Δευτέρα 19 Ιανουαρίου 2026.
