† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Maria Sergiou

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mum Maria Sergiou, who passed away on 29th June 2025 in Whittington Hospital. She had dementia. Also she caught other illnesses.
She leaves behind husband, Kyriakos, daughter Helen, son Photos, nieces and nephews around the world. Also she has 3 sisters in London and in Cyprus, also a brother in Cyprus.
Maria was always very happy and smiling before she got ill. She always opened the door to everyone. She was a lovely lady. Everyone who met her loved her. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
The funeral is on Friday 11th July, at Greek Orthodox Church of
St.Katherine in Friern Barnet Lane, N20 0NL are 10.30am followed by the
burial at Islington and St Pancras Cemetery, 278 High Road East Finchley N2 9AG at 12pm. The wake will take place back to the church hall for
sandwiches and treats tea and coffee. Flowers are welcome and can be delivered to Demetriou and English. Also there will be a dementia box at the church.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας Μαρίας Σεργίου, η οποία απεβίωσε στις 29 Ιουνίου 2025 στο Νοσοκομείο Whittington. Έπασχε από άνοια. Επίσης, είχε προσβληθεί από άλλες ασθένειες.
Καταλείπει τον σύζυγό της, Κυριάκο, την κόρη της Ελένη, τον γιο της, Φώτη, ανιψιές και ανίψια σε όλο τον κόσμο. Έχει επίσης 3 αδερφές στο Λονδίνο και στην Κύπρο, καθώς και έναν αδερφό στην Κύπρο.
Η Μαρία ήταν πάντα πολύ χαρούμενη και χαμογελαστή πριν αρρωστήσει. Άνοιγε πάντα την πόρτα σε όλους. Ήταν μια υπέροχη κυρία. Όλοι όσοι τη γνώρισαν την αγαπούσαν. Θα μας λείψει πολύ.
Η κηδεία θα γίνει την Παρασκευή 11 Ιουλίου, από τον ιερό ναό της Αγίας Αικατερίνης, Friern Barnet Lane, N20 0NL, στις 10:30πμ και η ταφή στο Κοιμητήριο Islington and St Pancras, 278 High Road East Finchley
N2 9AG στις 12μμ. Η κηδεία θα γίνει πίσω στην αίθουσα της εκκλησίας για
σάντουιτς και λιχουδιές, τσάι και καφέ. Δεχόμαστε άνθη, τα οποία θα πρέπει να παραδοθούν στο Demetriou and English. Επίσης, θα υπάρχει ένα κουτί εισφορών για άτομα με άνοια στην εκκλησία.
