† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
Niki Solomou
(from Lapithos, Cyprus)
It is with deep sadness and heartache that we announce the death of our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Niki Solomou, who passed away on 26th June at the age of 84. Niki was born on 2nd February 1936 in Lapithos, Cyprus, where at the age of 22 she met and married her sweetheart Constantinos, and they later moved to England for a better life. Niki was a devoted wife and mother and a much loved and respected woman. She was strong, hardworking, generous and hospitable and greeted everyone with a beautiful warm smile.
Niki leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years Constantinos, their daughter Andrie and three sons Marios, Jordanis and Xen, seven grandchildren, Constantinos, Andrew, Nicholas, Christopher, Alexandra, Costa and Dorothea, three great grandchildren, son-in-law Demetris, daughter-in-law Soula, sister Stassou, brother Michelli, nephew Panico, as well as many more relatives and friends. She was loved and adored by all and will be greatly missed.
A private funeral service will take place on Monday 13th July at St Katherine’s Church in Barnet. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, only the immediate family are permitted to attend at the Church. The burial will follow at New Southgate Cemetery, Brunswick Park Road, N11 1JJ at 12.30pm at which relatives and friends are invited but strict social distancing rules must be observed.

Nίκη Σολωμού

Με βαθιά θλίψη και στενοχώρια αναγγέλλουμε τον θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας συζύγου, μητέρας, γιαγιάς και προγιαγιάς Νίκης Σολωμού, η οποία απεβίωσε την Παρασκευή 26 Ιουνίου σε ηλικία 84 ετών. Η Νίκη γεννήθηκε στις 2 Φεβρουαρίου 1936 στη Λάπηθο, Κύπρο, όπου στα 22 της γνώρισε και παντρεύτηκε τον εκλεκτό της καρδιάς της Kωνσταντίνο και αργότερα μετακόμισαν στην Αγγλία για μια καλύτερη ζωή. Η Νίκη ήταν μια αφοσιωμένη σύζυγος, μητέρα και γιαγιά, αλλά και αγαπητός και σεβαστός άνθρωπος. Ήταν δυνατή, εργατική, γενναιόδωρη, φιλόξενη και χαιρετούσε όλους με ένα όμορφο ζεστό χαμόγελο. Η Νίκη αφήνει τον αγαπημένο της, επί 62 χρόνια σύζυγο, Κωνσταντίνο, τη θυγατέρα της Άντρη, 3 υιούς: Mάριο, Ιoρδάνη και Ξέν, 7 εγγόνια: Kωνσταντίνο, Αντρέα, Νικόλα, Χρίστοφερ, Αλεξάντρα, Kώστα, Δωροθέα, 3 δισέγγονα, γαμπρό: Δημήτρη, νύμφη Σούλλα, αδελφή Στασού, αδελφό Μισέλλη, ανιψιό Πανίκο και πολλούς συγγενείς και φίλους. Όλοι όσοι την γνώριζαν την αγάπησαν και την λάτρευαν.
Θα μας λείψει πολύ. Η κηδεία της θα γίνει την Δευτέρα 13 Ιουλίου στην εκκλησία της Αγίας Αικατερίνης στο Barnet. Λόγω της πανδημίας μόνο η στενή οικογένεια μπορεί να παρευρεθεί. Η ταφή θα γίνει στο κοιμητήριο του New Southgate, Brunswick Park Road, N11 1JJ η ώρα 12:30μμ, όπου συγγενείς και φίλοι μπορούν να παρευρεθούν εάν και εφόσον τηρούνται τα μέτρα κοινωνικής απόστασης.
Λουλούδια μπορούν να σταλούν στο γραφείο κηδειών του Demetriou and English μέχρι τις 8:00πμ την ημέρα της κηδείας στη διεύθυνση 133 Myddleton Road, Wood Green, London, N22 8NG.
