A fourty- eight year old woman, identified as Marianna Koumbari Themistocleous from Dali, died while using a weight loss machine at a beauty salon in Dali on Saturday evening.
At around 19:30 last night, the woman, who was alone at her sister-in-law’s beauty salon, lost consciousness while connected to the weight loss machine. The exact cause of death has yet to be confirmed although electrocution is suspected. The police are continuing their investigation into the tragic death.
According to the police report the woman was talking to a friend on her phone when she colapsed. The friend then called an ambulance and the waman’s daughter after realising something had happened. When her daughter arrived at the salon she found her unconscious. The woman was later transferred by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital where doctors pronnounced her dead.
