Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris Postasi newspaper (16.06.15) reported that the works to open the Derinya crossing point within the framework of a decision taken by the Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akύncύ and the Greek Cypriot leader, as the President of the Republic of Cyprus is called, Nicos Anastasiades, has started.
The so-called “minister of interior” and acting “foreign minister” Teberruken Ulucay held inspections in the area receiving information from “officials” about the route and site of the crossing point.
The two leaders had announced the opening of the Aplic in Lefka and Derinya crossing points at their last meeting on the 28th of May.
Work to open the crossing point at the Aplύc in Lefka has also commenced.
Ulucay was accompanied during his tour in the area by the so-called presidential undersecretary Gurdal Hudaoglu, the “undersecretary” of the “interior ministry” Hasan Alicik and other “officials”.
