Ryman League Division one North
Borough took a massive step towards safety thanks to an 83rd minute goal from substitute Alexander Cathline who powered his way through the middle to control a long ball and slam it past the advancing ‘keeper from the edge of the area. That goal made Borough the only team in the bottom nine of the Division to secure maximum points and lifted them to 16th place in the table and 8 points clear of the drop zone. In a game where possession was about equal “The Yachtsman” posed little threat near goal while Borough had gone close several times during an improved second half performance before the late clincher.
