Eighteen year old Anthony Georgiou recently signed professional terms with Tottenham, Anthony’s grandparents origins are from Gypsou, Limassol and Kyrenia, Cyprus
Left winger Anthony moved up to the Under-21s this year after featuring regularly for the Spurs Under-18s in 2014-15, scoring four goals in 20 league appearances.
He was also involved in the early stages of Tottenham’s run to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals, memorably netting a brace in a 3-1 win over Manchester United at White Hart Lane, but was sidelined for a spell in the latter months of the season, restricting his involvement as the competition went on.
Having also made two appearances for their Under-21s, Anthony was part of the side that won the IMG Cup in Florida in December, 2014, and was in the squad for Spurs Premier League Under-18 Champions Cup success in September, 2014.
The Lewisham-born Anthony scored eight goals in 26 Barclays Under-18 Premier League appearances in 2013-14 and opened his account in a 4-2 win over Norwich City that October. He later added his first brace at that level, coming off the bench to score twice against West Bromwich Albion in January.
Anthony also made two substitute appearances in the FA Youth Cup that season, as well as one substitute appearance for the Spurs Under-21s.
