Scottish football league player gets his first call up for Cyprus but now misses games through self isolation

Hibs and the Cyprus national team are without Alex Gogic for the visit of Aberdeen after the Cypriot midfielder revealed he was self-isolating for ten days.
Alex will be missing Cyprus Nations League games against Montenegro and Azerbaijan, just days after he received his first call-up to the senior national squad.

It was reported on Sunday morning that a member of the playing staff had been advised to spend ten days in self-isolation after a routine coronavirus test had “required further investigation”.

Subsequent tests had returned negative results but the Scottish FA and Scottish Government advised the club and player that a period of self-isolation should be completed.
