Famagusta CID are investigating the theft of 36 television sets worth a combined €5,400 from an Ayia Napa hotel that had closed for the winter season.
Investigations so far indicate that the TVs were taken during a burglary the hotel’s manager told police must have taken place between February 22 and March 1, and when the premises were left unguarded between 3.30pm and 11pm over those days. The 32-inch Philips black televisions are worth €5,400, the hotel’s manager told the police.
The hotel is insured against theft but a closed circuit television (CCTV) system at the location is out of order. The hotel also did not have a security system installed
