When everything is going well, we feel the world is great, we notice the beauty of the blue sky, the green grass, trees, nature and all its glory. Bring on the tree huggers and let’s join them for a party. The music goes on, and we are probably singing and dancing to our favourite tunes. We appreciate life itself, along with the freedom to live and enjoy it. Life is worth living and all this is perfect for our well-being.
At times of despair, when things are looking a little bleak, it is easy to slip into that slippery slope of no hope and lose faith of a better and brighter future ahead. Many have been there, at points in their life, where troubles accumulate, escalate, and it feels like a no end road with no way out. We now really can’t see the wood from the trees and will just give up or give in to whatever is going on around us. It is easy for others to say ‘don’t worry’, and everything will be alright. It won’t be alright if we just sit there and watch everything float by. We have to live in the moment, to work on things with hope and faith, with action plans, decisions and physical action for some of the things to change and for some resolutions. The things that most definitely can’t be altered at the particular moment in time, we try to make a positive out of the negative situation. Surely there must be a reason for all this, or it just wouldn’t make sense.
The most important thing in all of our situations is to accept it first. We are in a situation and it is not always because of our own doing, but just life occurrence. Health and well-being is our richest asset, not wealth and materialistic things. Of course having good finance helps make life comfortable, but what if we are not healthy, or don’t have our loved ones to share and enjoy all that financial comfort with? It can then just feel like we are in a luxury hotel, but in a room all alone, day in, day out, for eternity. Just being alive is the gift and each day we breathe is another daily gift added. Using this as a mantra helps us remember how precious life really is, even with all its hurdles, trials and tribulations.
Any loving, kind and caring people around us, family or friends that have been there throughout the good and the bad times, that are sincere and are truly there for us, we should really appreciate and value that as another blessing or bonus gift. Real friendship and respect cannot be bought, it is gained through trust and respect. Having that positivity of trust in another person makes us feel safe and secure, which is of course good for our well-being.
Being alone, but not feeling alone, is what makes the difference. We may live alone, but knowing those others are around us, when needed is what counts. We don’t have to be needy or give others a headache with demands, but having our loving, caring people around us is powerful in itself, as we know we have a safety net to catch us if we fall.
Double whammy, the loving caring people are not only there for you, but they are positive also, they believe in the power of positivity too, and will lift you when needed. They believe in you and life itself, these are the people required at hard or times of doubt. It should work both ways, so when others doubt or go through difficult times, make sure you throw back some of that positive fairy dust their way. You don’t have to be in their face all the time, but let them know you are there, if they need you or want you to be there, be it a listening ear or with valued precious time.
Surround yourself with positive people. Positivity is found by many successful people. If people tried to do things without the power of positivity, people wouldn’t take the risk or chance to win or achieve desired goals and ambitions. We only have to look at top athletes and sports people. They have to believe that they can do it, and they are half way there, as any doubts mentally would set them back. They work towards their goal mentally and physically in preparation to win. With a top coach and positive input, with belief in the sports person, the winning outcome will be greater achieved.
Avoid negativity and negative people. If you know negative people or they are judgemental, remove yourself from them as much as you can, or totally if possible. Block out their voice of judgment as muffled water noise, air it if you have to, and then discard it. It is wasted negative energy that will drain you of any change or progress you could obtain.
How many of us have worked in the last year with positive mind set? Many of us have utilised the time, being constructive and working on things we may never have ordinarily got the chance to do. We used the opportunity to do many things and that is really positive. If we can look back and say: “I didn’t waste all that time,” we have definitely achieved.
As we know, life works in cycles in all aspects, with good and bad in rotation along with it. We know therefore that there is hope for a positive change after any negative. Have faith and hope in all, and help raise it in others, as they can do for you at your times of need.
Believe in the power of positivity and change. Let’s all help each other with it when we need it most.
