Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty is to sign for Anorthosis in Cyprus

Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty who played for Burnley and Glasgow Rangers will not be staying in the British Isles, instead signing a one-year contract with Anorthosis, who have made it through to the Europa League qualifying rounds next season after lifting the Cypriot Cup last month.

Lafferty scored 13 goals in 13 games during his six months at Killie, a tally that was not enough to keep them in the Scottish Premiership as they lost the play-off with Dundee to suffer relegation.

At the conclusion of his contract, Lafferty has now headed abroad. He is not afraid to broaden his horizons having already played in Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, and Norway during his career.
