A great team performance by Cockfosters Bowls club helped to win the Prentice Cup a tough district competition . Teams of four play home and away throughout the season and the top two play the final on
a neutral ground. Cockfosters beat Finchley to win the cup having previously been successful 17 years ago. Cockfosters two teams of four that lifted the trophy were; David Bryan, Antonis Papanastasiou, Alan Hayes, Paul Bryan and Chris (Mikkos) Chrysostomou, John Mason, Roy Gerondeas and Terry Clarke. It’s important to mention that this is a squad effort as throughout the season 19 Cockfosters players played their part , a tremendous achievement.
