Paphos police are investigating the rape of a 78-year-old British woman on Saturday morning at a flat in the town.
Police said the woman filed a complaint that she was raped in her room by man aged between 25-30 who entered her first floor apartment in Paphos at around 2.30 am.
It is believed he climbed in through a balcony door and forced the woman to have sex against her will before stealing a gold chain and a ring worth 150 euros.
The woman is receiving medical treatment.
