AEK U10 family at Boreham Wood after a excellent 3-2 display
U10s
AEK started poorly and couldn’t get to grips with the game and found themselves 1-0 down at half time.
With the wind behind them in the second half, Valanti pounced to level things up before Savva scoring a fantastic header directly from a corner and then Deen finishing it off with another header over the keeper following on from a long kick from Theo.
Borehamwood got one back and were pushing for an equaliser, but we held firm and saw the game out as deserved winners.
Goals Valanti (1), Savva (1) and Deen (1). MOM Savvas Marneros- a great header who grew in confidence with an all action midfield display.
U16’s Gold team
Hendon United FC 4 – 4
AEK Youth Gold FC. The team were now tasked with building on their good start to the new year by playing the top of the table team. But with only 11 players available due to mock exam revision and illness coupled with playing on a very large 3G astro surface, this needed a huge effort from them all. They started very brightly and scored two quick goals in the first 20 mins themselves out of energy before It still could have gone either way, but a draw was a fair result in the end. Goalscorers: Alexander Barbe (2) & Nicholas Tofallis (2)
MOM: Nicholas Tofallis.
