AEK U10s v St Albans Pumas saw an exciting game played in good spirit.
AEK took the lead with a well taken goal from Deen and AEK were firmly in their stride, playing some excellent football; constantly showing awareness, good movement and passing.
Against the run of play, St Albans equalised and just before just half-time took the lead. AEK came out with purpose in the second half and created chance after chance, but sadly without capitalising. This was compounded by St Albans grabbing their third and AEK were started to get the feeling it was to be one of those days.
This didn’t dampen their spirits though and soon after, Henry scored a good goal to bridge the gap. AEK were then awarded a penalty, where the St Albans keeper pulled off a great save from Sammi’s strike.
AEK were then rewarded for their efforts with a finely taken equaliser from Deen to complete a great comeback and thanks to solid goalkeeping performance from the St Albans keeper, AEK could have taken the spoils. No complaints though as AEK had no substitutes and the boys worked very hard throughout.
Goals from Deen (2) and Henry.
