Bolton Wanderers have passed on the chance to sign former Brighton and Swansea playmaker Andrea Orlandi.
The Spanish midfielder has accepted an offer to play in Cyprus for Anorthosis after a short trial at the Macron Stadium.
Neil Lennon wanted to take a longer look at the 31-year-old, who recently cancelled his contract at League One Blackpool, and was considering using him in a friendly against Motherwell.
Andrea also used to play for Barcelona, Swansea and Brighton.
But when it became clear that a financial agreement would not be reached, Orlandi moved on to accept an offer from the Famagusta-based club.
