One of the items stolen by the suspects

Detectives are appealing for the public’s help after an 87-year-old woman was threatened with a knife and robbed in her own home.

Images of jewellery stolen from the elderly victim have been released and anyone who has been offered these items for sale or knows where they are is asked to contact officers without delay.

Police were called at 18:26hrs on Wednesday, 23 May to reports of an aggravated burglary on North Circular Road, NW10.

Officers attended the location and discovered that the suspects had entered the property via the rear garden. One of the suspects held a knife to the elderly victim’s throat and threatened to hurt her if she didn’t stay quiet.

The two men went upstairs and stole £1,000 cash and gold jewellery; including a necklace, a ring and some bangles.

Suspect two is described as a white male, of slim build with a slight moustache. He was wearing a maroon-coloured shirt. He is believed to have been in his late teens.

Detective Constable Pinnu, from Brent CID, said: “If you were in the area on Wednesday, 23 May at around 18:25hrs please contact police. You may have seen something that you don’t think is important but could massively help our investigation.”
