Appeal following assault at bus stop in Camden

Police are appealing for information following an assault at bus stop in Camden and are releasing an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred on Saturday, 7 March at about 13:30hrs, on Constantine Road, NW3.

Both the victim, a 69-year-old man, and the suspect were travelling on a route a busy C11 bus when the suspect began to argue with passengers. As a result, the driver stopped and ordered everyone off the bus.

While at the bus stop, the suspect grabbed and pushed the victim causing him to fall over.

The victim did not require hospital treatment

The suspect is described as an Eastern European man, with short dark hair, aged about 35-50 years, wearing a dark green fleece with yellow lining.

Officers would also like to hear from a passenger who was travelling on the same bus, who is not a suspect – as he may be able to assist police with the ongoing investigation. This man was standing near the rear exit doors of the bus, and is described as being a middle aged white male, wearing a dark coloured woollen hat.
