Appeal following double stabbing in Palmers Green and Edmonton

Trident Gang Crime Command detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a double stabbing in Edmonton on Saturday afternoon, 14 February.

On that day police were initially called at around 13:35hrs to Morley Avenue, N18 following reports of a fight.

Officers attended and found a man, aged 22 [victim 1], suffering from stab injuries to his wrist and legs. He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police were then subsequently called at around 14:35hrs by London Ambulance Service to a report of another man stabbed in Caversham Avenue, N13.

Officers attended and this man, aged 24 [victim 2], was also taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

‘Victim 2’ [A] has been arrested in connection with this incident but remains in hospital.

The Trident Gang Crime Command is investigating and, at this early stage, believes both these incidents are linked and gang-related.

Detective Constable Mem Williamson, the officer in the case, said: “We are appealing for anyone who would have been in or around the Morley Avenue area that may have seen a fight amongst a small group of people, which we believe the stabbing may have occurred during.

“We are also appealing for anyone in the wider area around Pymmes Park that may have seen people suffering injuries running away from or leaving the Morley Avenue area.”
