Officers are appealing for information to locate a man who went missing one year ago today.
Svet Yotov, 31, was last seen at his home in Islington by a relative on 8 October 2021. He was reported missing on 14 October.
Since then officers have conducted extensive enquiries to locate Svet, including appeals via social media and the charity Missing People, so far without success. Officers have also liaised with authorities in his native Bulgaria but this has yielded no progress.
At this stage there is nothing in Svet’s background to suggest he was in any kind of trouble or has come to harm.
PC Dan Lewis, Central North Command Unit Safeguarding Team, said: “The primary focus of our investigation is to find Svet safe and well. Svet, we want you to know you are not in any trouble. All we want is return you home safely. Please, make contact with us.
“If you are someone who knows Svet and have seen him, or have any information as to his whereabouts, please do the right thing and call police. His family are distraught at not knowing what has happened to him.”
