Police are appealing to businesses to be extra careful and to use recognised security companies when transferring large amounts of money after a supermarket employee was ambushed and attacked in the middle of the street in Limassol.
The police reported, that at 9.20am the 57-year-old was attacked by two men and beaten in the street. They failed, however, to take the €80,000 in his possession.
The two attackers are described as being between 25 and 30-years-old.
