Air Transport Licensing Authority, ATLA, has suspended Cyprus Airways` operation license, following the decision by the European Commission for the company to pay back over €100 million of state aid it had received in the past.
Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Communication and Works Alecos Michaelides told CNA that ATLA will be sending a letter to Cyprus Airways saying that the license is suspended as the company can no longer meet its financial obligations.
