25-year-old man was remanded in custody on Sunday on suspicion of raping a 21-year-old British tourist on Saturday night.
Police are also looking for a second person who allegedly raped the same woman later the same night.
According to the woman’s complaint, she was raped by the 25-year-old in the toilets of a pub in Kato Paphos.
She told police that she was raped again the same night by a different man after drinking too much at a nightclub and falling asleep in the toilet.
According to CNA, she said she and her friends had left the pub around 2am and then on to a nightclub where after a few drinks she fell asleep in the toilet. When the club closed, she said a man came and woke her up and brought her to an apartment where without her consent he had sex with her.
Police are still investigating.
