Traffic police have confirmed that a 34-year-old British man was killed in a car accident in Larnaca late on Monday night.
According to a police announcement, the accident occurred on the Alaminou Road, heading towards Mazotos. The victim has been identified as David Edmond Crosby – a permanent resident in Cyprus. Under circumstances still being investigated, Crosby is believed to have lost control of the vehicle he was driving before then slamming into an embankment.
The car then began overturning while Crosby, who was said not to be wearing a seat belt, was flung from the vehicle and then crushed under the wreckage. His death was instantaneous.
